Hi all.. just set it up on my web site and have to say I like it.. Though I think it means you no longer get the actual star ratings appearing with the products..??? Can any one confirm this ???

is there a way you can keep the existing comments that are on the site when you integrate Disqus. I just tried to integrate Disqus and it took away all of my previous customer reviews. So I took it off.

I would also add Mint (http://www.mint.com) to the list. It's kind of like Quicken, but all online and completely free. While it's not as complex as Quicken, it has completely replaced it for me. Very clean design and good visuals help you easily see what's going on with your personal finances. I am also experimenting with Outright (http://www.outright.com) for my business bookkeeping.

Good article. My favorite online software is intelecrm. Cheap, but powerful, it has allowed our small company to compete with our bigger competition in terms of streamlined sales and marketing. A few years ago there is no way we would have been able to afford a CRM. Now that all of these companies are offering solutions on the cloud, its possible for us.

I had a go and it is simple to set up. However, the 'Reviews' do not appear in a tab on the product page so can make the page look very cluttered. Hence, I have removed the integration again.

I might use if BC could put this into it's own tab - otherwise I am sticking with BCs review system.

Cheers for the feedback Mike. As you now know we do whatever we can to get your feedback into the software. We're getting a lot better with our releases too, so expect a LOT of new stuff in 2010, starting with version 5.6 next week and then with version 6 shortly after.

Hi Mitch,

I am really excited for the new features. When I signed up last year I knew a few important things were lacking and I was counting on your ongoing development to catch up. Between the community you setup for us to voice our needs and your response to those needs with ongoing development I am happier each day I am a customer. In the past I have been vocal in my criticism and now I would like to be just as vocal in my praise.

Great job responding to our feedback with updates and new features!

Great... but what would be even better is if BigCommerce enabled auto responders with this type of function. ie: 2 weeks after the order send email saying thanks for your purchase please give your purchase a review to help others at [link to product/s they purchased]. Then after they ad the review auto send them a coupon to say thanks. If they dont review send them coupon B for a lesser value after 1 more week etc.

I am currently doing this manually with good results.
a) Getting reviews on products which helps new sales
b) Getting return business which as you say Mitch is cheaper than attracting new business.

So now we just need a system to do this and hey presto everyone will be happy.
