Shipworks Rocks! by Jorian
Starting with the complaint: It does not talk to QuickBooks where our master inventory is kept. On the inventory control upside, it can generate reports by item and quantity for a date range, and I have been using those reports to update QB inventory using a utility called Transaction Pro Importer. Problem is that formatting the output from Shipworks to a format that TPI can use is fraught with potential for human error. I am now looking into a custom script that can translate amazon and ebay sku numbers, format columns etc. and automate the whole process. We have considered other channel integration options, but none of them do exactly what we need done. Those that profess such capability have uniformly turned out to be excessively complicated, fragile pieces of work that I don't want to trust with our business. Shipworks has been rock solid on the shipping side, and I would be very sad to let it go, as everyone who uses it is more than please with what it does, how it does it and the speed and ease of use it offers. If only they would get off the dime and teach it to speak QB, it would be the answer to our dreams.

I used ShipWorks for my Volusion store at a different company before coming to my current company which is on BigCommerce. When I arrived I intended to implement ShipWorks as they were just using UPS Worldship at that point. I was having a headache with the install (as per usual with Shipworks - there's nothing easy about getting it up and running or upgraded). In trying to get over the hurdles, I discovered ShipStation and thought I'd give it a go and I LOVE it. Totally web-based so no install hassle and the BigCommerce, eBay and Amazon integrations rock. Love not having to switch between stores anymore. I would be wary as to when our volume gets up if the web interface could be too slow, but so far it's been fast and reliable. In the past Shipworks Premium Customer Service (which you pay extra for) is anything but.. it would take days to get a call back and in the shipping world you don't have days. Sometimes you don't even have hours. I think Shipworks is a great product and in the past it served me very well, but there are better options out there. Would def give them another star if they had customer service or you really got anything extra for the premium support. Everyone is a premium support customer so you don't get any VIP treatment. I would of gladly paid more at the time to get better assistance.

Shipworks is extremely powerful. I have been using it for 3-4 years now and could not live without it. It handles our order management, picking, shipping, automatic emails, customer service and multiple stores in one view. It is affordable and they are continuously updating it. It is also fully integrated with Fedex / UPS / USPS etc. Also, the level of customization is endless. This software will save you time and money and help your business run smoothly.

Great Program! I have had no problems what so ever with ShipWorks 3 and we can't run our business without it any more! You can view all your stores in one window! Pros: Computer Based ( No Lagging), Easy To Use, Programs Box Sizes, Supports Ebay and Amazon, Connects to shipping scale, prints labels with ease, inexpensive, easy to create an internal network for all computers, syncs all shipping to BC and updates status, and finally fully customizable packing slips and invoices! CONS: Customer Service takes 48+ hours to get back to you and upgrades are difficult. -1 Star only because customer service reply is not up to par.

We have been using Shipworks for the last 5 years. It has only been integrated into Big Commerce for the last year or so. Unfortunately there are a few bugs with the integration. If Big Commerce improves the integration I would highly recommend it. The other issue is template creation and modification. You need some skills in order to customize that end of the system. On the plus side it integrates with all major shippers including FEDEX.

We have recently begun using Shipworks with our BigCommerce store. Getting everything up and running was incredibly laborious and no support to answer questions. But now that we have it running and the kinks worked out it saves us a ton of time and money.

Product generally works well, but upgrades are invariably difficult and bug-ridden. Customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE. Response times of 72 hours+ and then a simple referral back to the forums.

Shipworks is a game-changer. Plain and simple. Excellent customer service and even better user-interface. This program is not for someone doesn't feel comfortable drilling through analytics for example. There is a learning curve, one that once you master, makes the software completely change the way you ship products. Integrations with USPS, FedEx, and UPS make it our goto platform for shipping. Let me be clear again -- this app has revolutionized how we service our customers. Use the free 30-day trial and see if it works for you. I've give it 10 stars if it was an option. Finally, we're still learning new things about this software that we didn't know about prior to implementing it several months ago. It keeps getting better ...
