App Installation: By installing the V2 to V3 Migration app, you're granting us access to your store, so we calculate the number of products to confirm the cost of the upgrade service. The app does not perform any upgrades or data analysis until the service is purchased and is only then used to extract your product data for us to review.
Data Review: We will begin to manually review your data and provide you with a detailed report which will list any issues with items, data changes which may be needed prior to upgrading, as well as things which may function differently once upgraded to V3. For the most part, most data adjustments can be made by us. However, there may be some that will require you to adjust in your store prior to the upgrade, which we will provide you guidance on.
Load Data to a Sandbox: Once all data issues have been addressed, we will load your products into a sandbox environment so you can see exactly how your items, variants, and modifiers will appear and function post-upgrade.
Schedule the Upgrade: After reviewing your data and making any final adjustments, we will schedule your upgrade to V3! Our goal is to be as flexible as possible, so we'll coordinate with you to schedule a time that works best for you and minimizes downtime for your customers.

We will coordinate a day and time for your V2 to V3 upgrade, which may take a few minutes to several hours depending on how many products are in your store. During the upgrade, your store will need to be placed in "maintenance mode," so we'll work with you to determine the best time to avoid disruption.
During the upgrade, we will:
Complete Final Checks: This involves downloading a fresh copy of your products to the sandbox environment, where we will run some final checks to make sure the data is ready for updating. This is usually done a few hours before the scheduled update.
Go to Maintenance Mode: As mentioned above, the store will need to be placed in maintenance mode for the update to complete. We will post a note on the maintenance page that lets visitors know how long the store will be down based on our estimates as to how long the process will take.
V2 Removal Begins: This is where our developer will begin to remove V2 options, modifiers, and rules from your items. Product IDs and SKUs will not change and if you have inventory set for items, we back that stock information up.
V3 Update Begins: Our developer now begins to inject V3 options and modifiers to your products, as well as upgrading any rules to function correctly with your item's new properties.
Pre-Relaunch Check: Once the process completes, our developer will run a final data analysis that ensures the update has been successful, or review any errors and make final adjustments. When our review is complete, we'll ask you to review as well before going live.
Go Live! Once you have agreed the upgrade has been a success, maintenance mode will be turned off, and your store will be live with V3!

By installing our app, it will allow us to get an accurate SKU count so we can provide you with an exact cost estimate. No credit card is required to install our app.
If you'd like to determine the SKU count on your own, without installing our app, perform a product export by going to Products > Export. Use the default Bulk Edit Built-in Template and export your products to a .csv file. Once the file has been downloaded, open it and sort the sheet by Product Code/SKU. Find the last SKU in the column, and the line number will correspond with how many SKUs are in your store.
