Announcing the Latest Version of BlueSnap: BlueSnap Direct

We have released several feature updates to our BlueSnap integration, now known as BlueSnap Direct. 

This version of BlueSnap is available by default to new users, and existing users of BlueSnap Payments can upgrade their current integration from the control panel.

What’s new with BlueSnap Direct?

BlueSnap Payments provided a hosted payment experience, which directed shoppers to BlueSnap’s payment page to enter their credit card information and complete their order. 

With BlueSnap Direct, your shoppers can make credit card or ACH Direct Debit payments directly from your checkout page, offering a seamless and user-friendly checkout experience.

BlueSnap Direct retains all of the features and payment methods available in BlueSnap Payments, and adds several improvements, such as:

• Supporting authorize-only transactions for delayed, manual capture

• The ability to perform post-order actions, such as capture or refund, from your BigCommerce control panel

• Processing manual order payments

• Applying the checkout page design settings in Page Builder to BlueSnap payment methods

How do I upgrade?

If you are connecting to BlueSnap for the first time, there’s no need to upgrade — your store will use BlueSnap Direct by default.

If you are currently using BlueSnap Payments, you’ll see an upgrade banner in the BlueSnap Payments Settings tab of Settings › Payments. 

Follow the instructions in the banner, and click Upgrade now to activate BlueSnap Direct in your store.
