BigCommerce Named a Strong Performer Among B2B and B2C Ecommerce Platforms by Industry Report

That’s why we’re proud to announce the release of this year’s The Forrester Wave™: B2B Commerce Solutions, Q2 2022 and The Forrester Wave™: B2C Commerce Solutions, Q2 2022, where in both the B2B and B2C categories, BigCommerce was named a “Strong Performer.”
The Forrester Wave™ is a guide for any and all business owners considering different platforms or tools in specific technology fields. Forrester is a trusted, well-known research organization that performs research across a variety of industries, including technology, specifically software, hardware and SaaS.
Participants are judged on 27 different criteria that fit into three different categories: Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence. Participants are given a score from one to five in each criterion. Forrester then ranks participants based on overall scores.
BigCommerce was judged in both the B2B and B2C categories and received the title of “Strong Performer” in each. For our B2B offering, we received the highest score in six different criteria: Promotions Management, Third-Party Channels, Architecture, Extensibility and Integration, Performance and Commercial Model. It was noted in the B2B Wave that BigCommerce’s B2B offering “…has strong performance against its product vision. Reference customers are enthusiastic with BigCommerce as a trusted partner.”
In the B2C category, we were given the highest score in 11 different criteria: Role-based Access Management, Promotions Management, Customer Success and Support, Practitioner UX, Architecture, Extensibility and Integration Tools, Product Vision, Performance, Innovation Roadmap, Partner Ecosystem and Commercial Model. Forrester states in the B2C Wave that “[BigCommerce’s] roadmap is one of the strongest in this evaluation and includes plans for deeper integration of third-party apps and additional native integrations with complementary solutions.”
Forrester has a reputation as a trusted data and analytics provider. The systematic analysis that goes into producing reports such as these offers an incredible opportunity for consumers to get unbiased information on some of the top B2B and B2C ecommerce solutions available. The report also offers insights on what consumers should be looking for in an ecommerce solution.
