For Vivino, pairings are a speciality. Founded in 2010 in Copenhagen, the company has rapidly become the world’s largest wine community. They now boast more than 18 million users around the globe, and are on track to reach 25 million by the end of 2016.

Vivino’s mission is to help wine drinkers make confident decisions about the next wine they try or buy, a process that can seem overwhelming. Vivino users can scan any bottle of wine or wine list and instantly see user ratings, revies, winery info, prices and where to buy it. They’ll also receive recommendations for other wines based on what users like.




Vivino also partners with retailers around the world to offer great wines at the best prices for purchase. When the company began searching for an ecommerce platform to power their online stores in new countries — including the US, UK and Holland — it was critical to find a solution that would accelerate their expansion while providing impeccable site performance and reliability.

Since launching their first store with BigCommerce, Vivino has seen 200% year-over-year revenue growth. They’ve now opened online stores in four countries, with an average of just two months from the time a new store goes live until it becomes profitable. The company has set its sights on introducing the brand to 10 new countries in 2016 — each with its own, localized online store.

Through Vivino’s rapidly growing global footprint and leading network of retail partners, the brand foresees a time in the near future when they’re helping wine enthusiasts everywhere find the perfect varietal for every occasion.
