BigCommerce Announces Solution to Help Small and Midsize Retailers Sell on Amazon

New integration enables merchants to seamlessly list and sync products, inventory and orders across both Amazon and BigCommerce storefronts

AUSTIN, Texas — September 27, 2016 — BigCommerce, the leading ecommerce platform for fast-growing and established brands, today announced a new integration to further support retailers selling on Amazon. Through the integration, for supported product categories, BigCommerce merchants can now simultaneously sell the same products and inventory on both their branded websites and on Amazon while maintaining a single source of truth for product details, inventory counts and order processing. With the release, BigCommerce is the first cloud-based commerce platform to natively support selling on Amazon, Facebook and Pinterest from a single interface.

“We want to help our retail customers capitalize on the revenue opportunity provided by selling on Amazon,” said Jimmy Duvall, chief product officer for BigCommerce. “Effectively competing in today’s retail environment begins with ensuring your products are present wherever your customers want to shop.”

Using BigCommerce Channel Manager, merchants selling on Amazon will have the ability to reach customers on both their branded websites and Amazon using the same product catalog, inventory and order management. Merchants can also save time by bulk listing BigCommerce products to sell on Amazon while automatically mapping known products to corresponding Amazon categories and ASINs.

“Selling on Amazon is a key component to our sales strategy,” said Brent Densford, CEO for Beach RC & Hobbies. “We have known for some time that not having our products available on Amazon has been hurting our overall potential. Through the BigCommerce integration, we can now list our products on Amazon’s marketplace without investing in new tools or worrying about managing inventory and orders in multiple places.”

The integration currently supports merchants selling in the following Amazon categories: Toys & Games, Home & Garden, and Health & Beauty. Eligible BigCommerce customers based in the U.S., or merchants that sell in USD currency by default, can connect and configure Amazon as a sales channel beginning today within Channel Manager. Support for additional product categories will be added throughout Q4 2016. For more information, including eligibility requirements, visit: bigcommerce.com/amazon.
