Incorrect shipping addresses are one of the most expensive problems in eCommerce, leading to failed deliveries, returns, and unnecessary operational costs. VerifyShip prevents these issues before they happen.
We use a 2-step address validation process designed to protect your store without disrupting the standard checkout flow:
During checkout: We detect obvious formatting and input issues in real time and help customers correct them instantly
After order submission: We perform a full validation using multiple data sources and notify the customer if their address needs correction
When issues are detected, we provide intelligent address suggestions and corrections, helping customers quickly fix mistakes without friction.
This ensures you catch both simple errors early and more complex address issues after checkout—while keeping the buying experience smooth and conversion-friendly.

Validation during checkout
Customize different rules to apply to the address your customers type during the checkout. If applied, checkout can be blocked by these rules and f.e. addresses without house numbers cannot be entered.
Validation after checkout
For precise (not just rule based) validation, orders are being validated against multiple databases and customers will be provided with the validation result on the order confirmation page where they can confirm or edit their address again if it is deemed invalid.
Address suggestions
Very common mistakes such as typos, swapped fields and some others can be automatically fixed by our system and are being shown to the customer (and to you in your dashboard) so they can be applied with one click.
Email notifications
Get notified via email if a new order with an invalid address has been made through your shop
Analytics
You get access to a dashboard with charts detailing how many orders had invalid addresses, what kind of mistakes were typically made by your customers and how many were corrected by our system in a certain timeframe.
