One-click payment setup expands to Europe, Australia and Canada

Online shopping has given consumers unlimited choices no matter where they live. The world has truly become their oyster! With a few simple keystrokes, buyers can select goods and complete a purchase from a retailer thousands of miles away.

While platforms like BigCommerce are making it easy for shoppers to transcend geography, merchants haven’t always had it so easy. Should SEO be localized for different languages? Where is mobile a must-have? And sometimes answers to the most basic business needs — like getting paid — are filled with complexities.

When we talk to our clients, setting up payment processing to accept credit cards is one of the biggest pain points in opening an online store, and for our international clients those challenges can be ten fold. Sometimes the desired payment gateway isn’t available or the merchant needs to navigate a complex maze of choices including merchant accounts and payment vendors — just to take a credit card.

  • Netherlands
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

Merchants in these countries will now enjoy the same benefit of one-click setup and low-cost transactions with no paperwork, deposits or hidden fees. Interested in getting Stripe for your store? It’s easy!

  1. From your control panel, go to Settings > Payments

  2. You should see Stripe as one of the main options at the top. Just click the switch to On, then click on the Set up Stripe button and follow the instructions to connect your store with Stripe.

And just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s less secure. As with our US integration, Stripe for our international markets meet the most stringent level of credit card security possible.
