BigCommerce Scores Big In the 2026 Paradigm B2B Combine

“Somebody is going to differentiate themselves and distance themselves here [in the B2B space]. And if it's not you, it might very well be one of your competitors.”

— Andy Hoar, Chief Executive Officer, Paradigm B2B

For the fourth consecutive year, BigCommerce earned a perfect 24 out of 24 possible medals in both the Paradigm B2B Combine Midmarket and Enterprise Editions. We also earned more gold medals than any other platform in the Midmarket report and improved our standing in the Enterprise report, finishing with six gold and six silver medals.

We're proud of that.

But we're probably even more proud of how we got there.

Every year, Paradigm B2B invites a select group of commerce vendors to participate in one of the industry's most comprehensive B2B evaluations. Participation isn't automatic, and it certainly isn't pay-to-play. Vendors are evaluated across dozens of weighted criteria, customer feedback is incorporated into the scoring, and every participant is expected to put their product strategy, roadmap, customer success, and execution under the microscope.

This year, one very recognizable vendor, (hint, hint: green shopping bag) was notably absent.

We'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Because if there's one thing we've learned after six years of saying ‘yes’ to the extensive (sometimes exhausting) B2B Paradigm Combine evaluations, it's that confidence in the B2B space isn't something you claim. It's something you're willing to have scrutinized.

More than a medal count

Twenty-four medals makes for a great headline. But medals aren't really the point.

B2B commerce has never been about checking feature boxes. Manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers aren't looking for the simplest storefront. They're looking for a platform that can handle all their complex business needs, like:

  • Negotiated pricing

  • Customer-specific catalogs

  • Complex purchasing workflows

  • ERP integrations

  • AI-powered automation that actually works

That's why the Paradigm Combine stands out. Rather than forcing every vendor onto a single analyst quadrant or placing it riding somewhere on a wave, it evaluates platforms across twelve distinct categories that reflect what B2B organizations actually care about.

Because, in Andy Hoar’s opinion, success is measured by consistently performing across every part of the business, not just doing one or two things well.

Leading the field in Midmarket

This year, BigCommerce B2B Edition earned ten gold medals and two silver medals in the Midmarket Combine — collecting more gold medals than any other platform evaluated.

Gold recognition included Vision & Strategy, Ability to Execute, Customer Service & Support, Partner Ecosystem, Site Search, Sales & Channel Enablement, Total Cost of Ownership, Content & Data Management, Transaction Management, and Promotions Management.

That's a broad validation of the work our product, engineering, customer success, and partner teams have been doing for years.

“These results don’t reflect one standout tool. It's about the strength of the entire system. When you're solving for complex B2B catalogs and manufacturers, you need consistency across every touchpoint, not just a flashy frontend. We're showing up exactly where the market needs us to be.”

— Travis Hess, Chief Executive Officer, Commerce

More importantly, it's validation from an evaluation that heavily incorporates customer feedback. What do our customers really think of us?

Enterprise isn't standing still either

The Enterprise report tells an equally important story.

As B2B organizations grow, commerce becomes exponentially more complicated. Supporting multiple business units, custom pricing structures, ERP ecosystems, procurement workflows, and global operations requires a platform that can scale without becoming harder to manage.

That's exactly where we've continued investing.

Last year BigCommerce secured six gold, four silver and two bronze medals in the Enterprise edition. This year, entering for the first time under the Commerce name, it scored six gold and six silver medals, turning bronze into silver in both Transaction Management and Marketplaces, demonstrating essential progress across the categories that matter most to larger organizations.

That’s not us tooting our own horn. The report provided customer validation:

“Customers consistently highlighted BigCommerce's deep commitment to B2B functionality, its robust partner ecosystem and its ability to handle the complex pricing, purchasing workflows, and integrations that enterprise buyers demand.”

— Andy Hoar, Chief Executive Officer, Paradigm B2B

Built for B2B means continuing to build

The report reflects years of investment, but it also reflects where we're headed.

Recent innovations like our AI-powered PO Automation Agent, Cascading Price Lists, B2B Webhooks, plus our continued expansion of B2B Edition weren’t created simply to keep pace with the market. They're capabilities designed to eliminate the operational friction that slows B2B businesses down.

That's ultimately what we're optimizing for. It’s never been just about adding new features. It’s about outcomes that our customers can feel.

The final word

Getting 24 out of 24 medals once is exciting. Consistently scoring medals in every category year after year says something bigger.

It says we're willing to put our platform, our strategy, and our customers' experiences under the same scrutiny every single year. It says we're confident enough in what we've built to welcome independent evaluation. And it says that while others are content to talk about B2B, we continue to invest in it. This can’t be said for all of our competitors.

The medals recognize where we are today. Our focus remains on where B2B commerce is headed next so we can build the tools our customers will need to get there.

“Commerce is shifting from a destination to a system, and our performance in the B2B Paradigm Combine 2026 shows we're leading that orchestration.”

— Travis Hess, CEO, Commerce
