BigCommerce’s diverse pool of agency and technology partners is a large part of what makes customers on our platform so successful. To show these businesses how much we value their support and collaboration, we recognize the top partners for the year through our BigCommerce Partner Awards program.

Each year, we award agency and tech partners across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC who have gone above and beyond to help customers see success on BigCommerce. 

In 2023, we celebrated the program's sixth year, which featured 22 categories across each region. After careful evaluation from a variety of BigCommerce employees and executives, we selected one outstanding partner who exceeded expectations for each category.

BigCommerce 2023 Agency Partner Award Winners: Americas

Agency Partner of the Year: Codal

We congratulate our Elite partner Codal on achieving Agency Partner of the Year. Throughout 2023, the agency has helped businesses scale on BigCommerce and achieve their business goals. Because of its dedication and commitment, brands like Stryker have increased their yearly sales on our platform.

New Agency Partner of the Year: Pixafy

Pixafy is a recent member of our partner ecosystem, joining just in 2022. Since then, it’s established a stellar reputation for being a reliable partner that delivers outstanding work for their variety of BigCommerce customers.

B2B Excellence Award: Silk Commerce

Silk Commerce demonstrated its expertise in serving B2B brands throughout 2023. When re-platforming Business Aircraft Consumables (BAC) website to BigCommerce, the agency built the ultimate B2B experience with B2B Edition. Since launching the new site, the brand has drastically enhanced the customer experience and streamlined operations.

The expertise of the Silk Commerce team shines through in their seamless execution of even the most intricate B2B projects. Omnichannel Solutions Award: Trellis

BigCommerce Elite partner Trellis is this year’s Omnichannel Solutions Award winner for its innovative approach to helping brands sell through multiple channels. In 2023, the agency optimized Francesca’s omnichannel experience by integrating a solution for selling products both online and in-store. Through their hard work, the continuity between Francesca’s physical and online stores has dramatically improved, and so has the customer experience.

From our judges: “The Trellis team continues to deliver innovative omnichannel experiences for our mutual customers. In 2023, Trellis executed an integration between the BigCommerce platform and the point-of-sale system used at Francesca's physical retail location, which allowed for the utilization of Francesca's rewards program, Fran Rewards. Now, customers can seamlessly access and redeem their rewards regardless of their chosen shopping channel.”

User Experience & Design Award: MAK Digital Design

MAK Digital Design, an Elite partner, has been selected as the User Experience & Design Award winner after crafting a superior user journey for one of our BigCommerce customers. After migrating from Shopify, the brand has significantly improved the customer experience in terms of site speed, design, and functionality.

From our judges: “MAK Digital has a unique and relentless dedication to crafting extraordinary websites which captivate and excite users, as well as increase conversions. Their commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional user experiences is truly commendable, and I’m excited to see what the rest of 2024 has to offer.”

Creative Problem Solving Award: CQL

This year’s Creative Problem Solving Award winner is CQL for strategically building Coldwater Creek’s modernized site. When the brand came to CQL to re-platform and upgrade its tech stack, the agency faced several challenges. CQL used its knowledge and expertise to solve these issues while re-platforming to BigCommerce. Now, Coldwater Creek can better serve customers and meet their business goals.

From our judges: “CQL's innovative approach to helping customers both identify and solve their unique challenges truly sets them apart. By combining BigCommerce and over 22 third-party partners, CQL helped Coldwater Creek realize an 8.5% revenue increase and an 8.5% order increase. Best yet, Coldwater Creek saved 20% in total cost of ownership because of their digital transformation.”

Headless Commerce Award: Wpromote

Wpromote is this year’s Headless Commerce Award winner because of the innovative composable front-end it designed to improve Cali Floor’s user experience. The redesign has not only enhanced the site's look and feel but also provides unique features, such as a 3D floor visualizer.

From our judges: “Wpromote emerges as an undeniable frontrunner in the digital agency landscape, propelled by a stellar record of accomplishments. Notably, their recognition as the Google Partner of the Year for Brand Awareness and their esteemed position as a Leader in the Forrester Wave solidify their standing as industry trailblazers. With a steadfast dedication to driving measurable results and pioneering groundbreaking strategies, Wpromote is a compelling choice for any distinguished award, epitomizing why it has won the Headless Award for implementing Cali Floors.”

New Frontier Award: Northern Commerce

Northern Commerce offers customers innovative solutions designed to help them see success and achieve their business goals. As part of this, the agency has been a critical player in helping BigCommerce expand into new regions and has been named this year’s New Frontier Award winner.

From our judges: “Northern’s commitment and investment in their partnership with BigCommerce has rightfully earned them the New Frontier Award. Their approach to bringing ecommerce retailers solutions to their evolving challenges is what has helped us successfully break into new territories. We're looking forward to continuing to expand our partnership.”

Excellence in Delivery Award: Mira Commerce

Mira Commerce consistently provides expert service to each of its BigCommerce customers, which is why it’s this year's Excellence in Delivery Award winner. The agency is passionate about helping brands see success on our platform, and we’re proud to have them as one of our Elite partners. In 2023, Mira Commerce worked with a variety of customers to exceed their ecommerce expectations, whether they needed a composable site or a robust omnichannel experience.

Community Award: Human Marketing

Human Marketing is this year’s Community Award winner due to its passion and commitment to being part of the BigCommerce ecosystem. The agency makes a huge effort to collaborate and learn from those involved in our community to become a stronger partner who can better support customers.

From our judges: “The Human team demonstrated the highest commitment to BigCommerce and the BigCommerce community from all different aspects. This ranges from community engagements with fellow developers to collaborating strategically with BigCommerce and Feedonomics sales and marketing activities.”

BigCommerce 2023 Tech Partner Award Winners: Americas

Tech Partner of the Year: Avalara

We’ve named Avalara as our Tech Partner of the Year due to its commitment to providing customers with a seamless user experience. The company is known for simplifying tax management, saving BigCommerce brands ample time and money that they can reinvest into growing their business. 

From our judges: “Avalara continues to prove itself as a top tax solution for BigCommerce customers. It not only provides top-notch service to customers but also consistently supports co-marketing efforts, actively focuses on the move-up market alongside BigCommerce, and pushes the message of enterprise ecommerce, simplified.”

Innovative Integration Award: PayPal

PayPal’s determination to provide customers with a first-class customer experience is why it’s been named the winner of the Innovative Integration Award. The company has recently piloted Fastlane, their accelerated checkout, with certain BigCommerce customers. After evaluating early results, it’s been concluded that this tool will be pivotal in building a quicker and more efficient checkout experience.

From our judges: “PayPal has piloted Fastlane, its new passwordless, one-click checkout, with select customers on BigCommerce over the past several months and has made an instant impact on the guest checkout experience. Early results from the pilot show Fastlane can recognize 70% of guest shoppers and can speed up checkout by nearly 40% compared to a traditional guest checkout process. Fastlane will be natively integrated into both PayPal and Braintree when made available for BigCommerce customers in the US later this year.”

Customer Growth Award: Affirm

Affirm is known for always putting customers first and has recently developed a frictionless way for brands to integrate its app without having to leave their BigCommerce dashboard. Its dedication to the customer and robust Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution are key reasons the partner generated the most growth for BigCommerce brands in 2023.

From our judges: “Affirm consistently prioritizes the needs of their customers and end consumers. Their team promptly responds to our customers and maintains a high level of transparency regarding their policies and rates. They genuinely collaborate with our customers to guarantee success and continuously innovate to fulfill their evolving needs, as demonstrated by their recent introduction of B2B support.”

Think Big Awards: Acumatica

Acumatica is this year’s Think Big Award winner due to its joint ERP and ecommerce solution designed to efficiently manage everything from orders to inventory. This innovative tool enables BigCommerce customers to scale their business on our platform and see success.

From our judges: “Acumatica is a leader in modern ERP and has allowed BigCommerce to partner with their extensive reseller channel. BigCommerce recognizes Acumatica and its collective partners for bringing forward a joint ERP and ecommerce solution that drives efficiency, growth, and scalability across shared customers.”

Open SaaS Innovation Award: ShipperHQ

ShipperHQ takes full advantage of BigCommerce’s open APIs, positioning it as a leader in the SaaS industry. Specifically, it’s this year’s winner for its Enhanced Checkout, which empowers brands to build a custom experience that best aligns with the needs of its shoppers.

From our judges: “ShipperHQ is a BigCommerce leader in SaaS innovation, recognized for its Enhanced Checkout that leverages BigCommerce's open APIs. It consistently prioritizes BigCommerce customers and helps power and curate customized and engaging shopping experiences.”

Best User Experience Award: Klaviyo

Klaviyo is the Best User Experience Award winner for its intuitive interface that enables BigCommerce customers to effortlessly connect with shoppers and build a strong customer base. With this software, brands can seamlessly market their business through email, SMS, and push notifications to build brand loyalty and generate sales.

From our judges: “Klaviyo’s modern and intuitive SaaS platform enables business users of any skill level to harness their first-party data from more than 350 integrations to send the right message at the right time across email, SMS, and push notifications. Their continued positive feedback from customers makes them a great choice for the award.”

Emerging Partner Award: NoFraud

As a more recent member of the BigCommerce partner community, NoFraud has stood out for its commitment to protecting brands against fraudulent transactions. Minimizing the risk of fraud for our customers helps them further grow their business and see greater success with BigCommerce.

From our judges: “NoFraud climbed through the ranks of our longtail program and was promoted to a managed partner where it quickly demonstrated the value their fraud prevention platform provides. In the last year, NoFraud has helped protect countless BigCommerce customers from bad actors, all while providing an uplift in revenue through increased approval rates. NoFraud has emerged as a best-in-class solution, and we're looking forward to continued partnership growth.”

New Frontier Award: Attentive

We’ve named Attentive our New Frontier Award winner for its cutting-edge approach to creating a personalized customer experience. The software uses AI technology, which enables brands to tailor communications specifically for each customer. By providing this experience, BigCommerce brands have been able to build greater brand loyalty among shoppers.

From our judges: “Attentive is an AI marketing platform that infuses intelligence at every stage of the consumer's purchasing journey, empowering BigCommerce brands to achieve hyper-personalized communication with their customers on a large scale.”
